5 Day Neera Cleanse; The Ultimate Test of Will

Derek, Savannah, Alex Graves, Emrah Gunes, and Glenna embark on a journey called “The Neera Cleanse”. I (Derek) heard of this from James Fitzgerald The Head Coach of Opex. The idea and benefits are to let the digestive system rest. The big one which many people could use is to reset your insulin sensitivity, long story short means you will produce the proper amount of insulin in response to carbohydrates. Then the obvious detoxing and getting rid of the garbage we ingest on a daily basis. Now the version we are doing has a couple sprinkles of our own but is backed by quality sources. We will ingest 2-3 tablespoons of ghee Butter to get some fat intake which will give some energy and help maintain hormone production. Ghee has many properties such as fat burning, ridding the body of pesticides, herbicides and other toxins. The reason I am doing this is to understand what the process does for me and if I recommend this to someone, I can say I’ve done it.

Here is a breakdown of what we will do daily:

1 gallon water
Squeezed juice of 1 lemon
3-4 tbsp Apple Cider vinegar (with the mother)
then grab a small container to store ~15 tbsp of Ghee (we’ll be having 2-3 tbsp per day)
Shoot for 1/2 bodyweight in oz of water/gains juice. Ie. 150 lbs = 75oz water
I think the daily regiment would look something like this: (hypothetically if you woke up at 7)
7am: ~8oz gains juice upon waking
8am: 1 tbsp Ghee
10am: Juice # 1
1pm: 1 tbsp Ghee
3pm: 1 serving Neera Tea
6pm: Juice #2
8pm: 1 serving Neera Tea
10pm: 1 tbsp Ghee
Wednesday we will start eating lean proteins in the late evening.
